Speed is only one part of the picture
Higher-quality video needs more bandwidth, but the required speed depends on how the stream is encoded. A fast package does not guarantee smooth playback if the signal keeps dropping or the connection is congested.
Test where you actually watch
Run a connection check near the streaming device, not just beside the router. Compare performance during the hours you normally watch. Other downloads, video calls, and connected devices all share the available connection.
Reduce avoidable interruptions
Use Ethernet when your device supports it, or move the router to a clearer location. Pause heavy downloads and try a lower playback quality as a diagnostic step. Only choose 4K when the channel, display, player, and connection all support it.
